3 Years Worth Of Love

So today me and Nate have been married 3 years! I feel so lucky yo have such a wonderful man in my life to share in my every day adventures and struggles. It's been a great 3 years and I can't wait for what the future holds for us!

Crazy how fast it's all gone by. Seems not that long ago that we shared our first dance together while my dad played our song on the guitar and I cried like a baby cause well I am a crier lol.

Here's a little corny photo I made of us over the years. Engagement and 3 years of marriage!

Since the wedding we have wanted to get our wedding anniversary tattooed on us but we still had yet to do it. So today was the day! Our friend Pierre did them for us and it was the perfect way to spend part of our anniversary! (note that is was not intentional but my nails are he same colors as our wedding colors were lol)

I am a spoiled lady today, Nate got me my favorite perfume and the best little surprise present.

Growing up I LOVED Roseanne Halloween episodes. I saw someone post this online a few weeks back and was super jealous so it was pretty much the best surprise. I got him a few Fred Perry things since he never treats himself to stuff like that. He was a happy camper.

Tonight we're headed to The Whalesbone for a seafood induced food coma! It'[s been a great relaxing day with my favorite man<3

Nail Of The Week - Halloween Edition

I saw a bunch of tutorials online for these blood splatter nails and had to try them out!

All you need is a base coat of white or I've seen it done with nude too that looked nice, a red color and a straw.

Quo by Orly - Red Hot
Sally Hansen - White on
Essie - Good To Go

Put a litle puddle of the red polish on a piece of paper, dip straw in it. Place it over nail and blow hard on other ebnd of straw to get the effect.

It gets pretttty  messy so be sure to not do it around nice things. And be prepaired for lots of hand and cuticle clean up of the splatter red that ended up in places you didn't want it.

The aftermath of cleaning up my hands to make them look presentable lol:

Slow Cooker Recipe - Apple Cider Pork Roast

This was my first time making this recipe which I found in an old magazine. Making any recipe for the first time dcan be a hit or a miss. It can also be a miss that you know could be a hit with a few changes the next time around. So the recipe I post will be an altered version of what I actually made so that it will turn out perfect next time around.

The flavors were amazing together but some came through a little strong and the cooking time suggested was a little longer then I felt it should have been. My pork turned out a little dry because of it. Still delish but a few tweaks needed for next time which I have put into the following recipe for you guys

Ingredients

1 (2 lb.) boneless Pork Loin Roast

1 1/2  cup apple cider

1/2 cup root beer

3/4  teaspoons salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 sprigs fresh rosemary

1/2 cup craisins

Directions
Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper.  In a nonstick skillet, brown pork for about 2 minutes on each side.  Pour apple cider and root beer in  slow cooker.  Place one sprig rosemary in slow cooker; top with meat and remaining rosemary.  Place craisins around the roast.  Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until meat is tender. DO NOT OVER COOK. Remove meat, cut and serve

Super simple but you for sure want to check on the pork to ensure you don't over cook it. There for it's not one of those toss together and forget about slow cooking recipes but it is work the little extra attention

Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Nail Of The Week

I got a super tacky and awesome pair of leggings last week and wanted to do my nails to match them. I am a little obsessed with glitter accent nails at the moment as you might start to be able to tell...

Love & Beauty - Gold / Multi
OPI - Black Onyx
Essie - Good To Go

I LOVED this glitter polish from Love & Beauty. I find a lot of glitter polishes come too watered down and you literally need to do 8 coats to get a solid glitter look. This one was nice and thick what you see on my nails is 2 coats!

Now that being said I have some other glitters from F21 that take the 8 coats lol so it's hit or miss but regardless I am stoked on this one!

Stay tuned next week for a nail polish haul post cause I have been buying loaaaads of polish lately.
